The Birmingham Zoo has a new exhibit, Trails of Africa. We had a great time visiting the elephants, but as always the splash area is much more exciting.

Silas' First Performance
Silas had his first concert. He attends preschool and they organized a spring ensemble. It was outside and the kids had a lot of fun. Silas sang most of the songs and seemed to favor an Irish folk song. Kirk and I are both of irish descent... Our family, Jennifer, and Lauren came to the concert and we went out to dinner to celebrate. He is growing up so fast.
Relaxing after the big day!

Grandmom, Carol, and Audrey's visit
My Mother-in-law is a huge UK fan and she is trying to pass this on to Silas. He seems to be taking to the idea.
Si has great hair. It gets a little too long fast. Kirk and I experimented cutting it ourselves. Still looks like he needs a cut...
Yum, Aunt Carol.. Target Popcorn!
I hope he is this excited to cut the grass when he gets older.

Spring is here!
I miss home near Cincinnati, but I do love the early spring weather that we start to see as early as February. The kids were out enjoying the weather and bubbles. Silas still loves Toy Story and keeps asking me for a Buzz that flies. Anna's hair is beginning to curl more and she never fusses when she is offered rain boots.

Meeting Baby Amos!
He's Here! Amos was a month early, but did very well. Silas and Anna Kate love him. I don't think I am ready for another baby quite yet, but how sweet is their reaction!

Gatlinburg Adventure
I have to say that this ranks fairly high on the most stressful trips list. I was on my own. Kirk had to work... Bedtime and naptime battles were a plenty. Also, I am not sure if I could count the number of tantrums. We enjoyed our family and the weather. It is always adventure. No pain, no gain, right....

Day before Amos' Arrival
We decided to help baby Amos along by taking Jennifer to the zoo and having her ride both the train and the carousel. Looks like our plan worked! He was born the next day.
