And we are off to... San Francisco!

What a trip!  We went to San Francisco to visit Ann Marie, Scott, and Emilie!!  It was so beautiful.  What a nice break from the Alabama heat.  We had a great time and we were so happy to spend time with them.

First Day of School

Anna and Si go to a montessori school in Birmingham.  I love their school, which is why Jennifer and I drive a half an hour back and forth.  I would love to have gone to their school!  They have gardens for each classroom.  Glass windows line the back walls, so they can look at the garden.  They grow their own food, keep bees, and best of all encourage children to be independent and encourage self directed learning.  Si seems excited in the car photo, Anna not so much...

Mom, I'm not so sure about this....

I really don't think you are making a good choice.... Anna, you are breaking my heart in this picture.

Much more fun after school!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Girl!

Our sweet baby girl turned 2 on August 10th.  She is such a blessing.  She has the sweetest smiles and gives the best hugs.  She loves pink!  Funny I remember hating the color growing up, as I tried hard to run with the boys.  She loves her toenails painted and dresses.  It would figure I would have a girly girl.

I had to work on her birthday, so Jennifer got her a birthday morning muffin.  I made up for it seems by the picture with an oreo cake that night.

We had a party that weekend and it was fun to see her excitement.  She loved her mermaid cake!

Silas just couldn't wait...

Thankfully Aunt Katherine, Jennifer and Lauren brought lots of girly gifts!!  I did get Anna a baby doll whom she named Purple Red.  I was never a girly girl and I am easing into this slowly.
