Birthdays and summer in Paducah

We went to Paducah the weekend on August the 4th.  We celebrated Pat and Beau's birthday.  Beau had a fun 1st birthday party!  There were so many friends and relatives.  It was nice spending time with everyone.  Silas kept saying,  "Isn't it great Nanny is here!"  I did not have my camera at Beau's party, but I did capture him having fun with Travis.  After Beau's party, we went on to celebrate Pat, Beau, and Anna Kate's birthday at GP's house.  GP has a pond/lake that the kids wanted to check out.  I will warn you, I forgot their suits and regulation flotation devices.  We improvised...   Si and Anna just had to stay away from the allergy (algae).  We ended up finishing the birthday marathon at Grandmom's house.  We had a great time!

Let me say, it has been ages since I bowled.  High school, maybe??  We went with Kelly and Jacob who showed us the ropes.  What a great setup for little ones.  What a fun Saturday!

Splash Park Fun!

We went to the splash park with the Dollar family.  Luke and Anna are the same ages as Silas and Anna Kate.  They had so much fun and it was nice for Sally and I to catch up.  It was very, very hot!!  I wasn't sure why the kids decided to play at the park after they had played in the water.  You can tell by the last pictures that even with popsicles, they were overheating.  What a fun day!!

 

Happy Birthday Grandmom!

We love celebrating birthdays at our house.  Kirk thinks it is an excuse for me to buy cake from whole foods... There may be some truth to that, but we do have a lot of fun!  Happy Birthday Grandmom!  We love you!

Happy Birthday Bela!

We had a birthday celebration for Bela.  She turned 8 years old!!  Bela wore a party hat and didn't seem to mind it.  Mae on the other hand only wanted the food, but what is new...  We love our girls.  Happy Birthday Bela!

Beaching it Up: The Final Chapter

Enjoying Baytowne Wharf.  The kids chose to jump for their activity.  It was a long wait, but well worth it to see all their smiling faces.   It was a nice way to spend one of our last nights.
