Welcome Emilie!!

What an eventful weekend. I traveled to Cincinnati for Ann Marie's baby shower and she delivered sweet Emilie on the day of her shower!! Emilie was 6 weeks early but was born healthy and Ann Marie recovered quickly. What a blessing from God! It was a stress filled weekend but we also took time to have some fun. We went to the pumpkin farm, the zoo, and spent as much time with family as we could. We stayed with our friends Carmen and Mike, who were great hosts. We roasted marshmallows by the campfire and even got to try buffalo tacos.

Happy Birthday Silas John!!

Silas turned 3 this year! I am sure we are headed for trouble because his second year went so smoothly. Silas is handsome and bright. He is a great big brother and never had trouble with the transition. He is good with tools and helps Daddy a lot in the workshop. He also has no problem helping Mommy with vacuuming, dishes or yard work. When Si gives a hug, he says "A Hug," quoting Cornelius P. Mud. He loves books and we read several each night. We are so blessed to have Silas in our lives. A lot of our family and friends came for his birthday party. We love you birthday boy!!

Silas started school this August. It was a tough transition, but the book, "The Kissing Hand" helped a lot. After a week, he was adjusted and enjoying his class! My baby boy is growing up.

We had fun visiting with Ty! We miss him! He was one of our climbing friends who had moved. The kids love him! Anna crawled right into his lap and had never met him before.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

Anna Kate is one year old!! Anna had an eventful first year. She had to go to Children's Hospital at a few weeks old for a fever work up. That was miserable and I can't imagine how parents of sick children cope! We were there for 4 days and that was enough. She had a spinal tap and had to be on multiple antibiotics. She had colic following that event. She also had a big fall this year, but crawled away unscathed. She is a beautiful, happy baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. We love you sweet girl!!
