It was a hot day and with Anna napping, I thought I would let Silas have some fun with our sprinkler system. Kirk had just finished running and joined the fun!

Easter Egg Hunt
With Easter quickly approaching, I am realizing more the blessings for which I am thankful. I am thankful for our family, our health, our home, our car, access to food and clean water, and many other things. The list is lengthy. I am most grateful for the gift Christ gave to us when he died on the cross. Life in Him. I hope this will always be my focus and my family's focus during the season of Easter.
We had a lot of fun at the Easter Egg Hunt at our local park. There was a cake walk, face painting, balloon artist, and more. What a blessing to have this available, one mile from our home. Anna went for the pink eggs, of course. They both got balloons from the balloon artist clown. I think we were last in line... Anna opted for a flower bracelet and Si picked a sword. After two chocolate cupcakes each, we headed home to.... melt down:)

Summer in Birmingham?!!?!
I wasn't expecting 90 degree temperatures in March, but we are enjoying our early summer. The kids are on spring break and we are taking advantage of the weather. In the summer, we hardly use our play equipment due to the heat and mosquitos. It has been getting a lot of use this week!

Happy Birthday Amos!
Amos is one!! It was fun to watch him dig into his cake. While unsure
at first, he ended up enjoying it a little too much. Happy Birthday

Meeting Bob the Tomato
The
kids love veggie tales and we went to a live show. They had a lot of
fun. Grandmom came to visit and came along. It was fun watching the
kids edge closer and closer to the stage. At the end of the show, a lot
of kids were right in front of the stage screaming and dancing.
In anticipation...
More Weekend Fun.

Beach it up..
I think this will be a year of travel. Cincinnati, Paducah, now Charleston and it is not even March. I know of a few more trips through June. I am really starting to enjoy travel again. We went to Charleston, given Kirk had a meeting. I took the kids to the Children's museum. It loved the art room. Lots of windows. They had instructions for making particular projects or you could go it on your own. I had fun making a fabric collage. We ended our day at Robot Candy. Why I allowed this, I will never know. I could have kicked myself an hour later, in a little hotel room, with 2 kids with way too much sugar in their blood stream.
